My 6-Step Web Development Process

Step 01.

Brainstorming

This is where it all starts. It’s where I get to know your exact requirements. From your expectations of what the website must have to your short and long-term goals. It’s where we brainstorm ideas and look at various possibilities to build and scale the business. It’s where you do most of the talking and I listen. Well, almost!

Step 02.

Planning

Once we’re done with the all-so-important step 1, it’s time for me to gather all the information provided and chalk out a plan. This includes clearly identifying the scope of work, deliverables, completion timeframe, the software required, and so on. It’s here that you evaluate if I’ve got your requirements spot on.

Step 03.

Design

In this stage, I share some possible design options and website prototypes. While it wouldn’t be anywhere close to the final version, these should give you a fair indication of how the website will eventually look like. It’s also an important stage to get right before I start with the actual website development process.

04.

Development

The actual website development begins now. Based on the goals set initially and the designs and prototypes decided upon, I now start creating your website. If you have the content prepared, this is when you could share the same with me. If you don’t have the content ready, you may want to check out my content writing services.

05.

Beta Testing

To err is human. And while I take utmost care to ensure that your website functions perfectly well, it’s best to have it tested before we take it to the world. In this stage, a nearly complete website is presented to you for the purpose of testing. You may also point out any corrections and inclusions that need to be carried out.

06.

Launch and Go Live!

Happy the way the website turned out? From contact forms, opt-ins, lead magnets, subscriptions, all working as per the plan? If so, this is when we launch the website. And if you’re wondering ‘now that the website is live, customers will come’, it’s hardly the case. We’ve got to promote the site. And how exactly? Ask me! 😉
